  • Jordan Thomas, senior in anthropology, through the TEDxMHK livestream broadcast in the Alumni Center Ballroom Feb. 1, 2016, tells of his experiences bicycling from Kansas to South America after deciding to take a gap year between his junior and senior years of college to discover who he is and what he wants to do. Along the way, he discovered that the world is full of very kind people who do not have much but are very happy, and he encourages people to overcome their fears of so-called dangerous places, get out and discover who they are individually and where humanity fits into the world.
