Redshirt freshman kicker Matthew McCrane nails a field goal to put the Wildcats on the board early in the second quarter of No. 11 K-State's 35-40 loss to No. 14 UCLA in the Valero Alamo Bowl January 2, 2015, in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. McCrane became the first player in K-State history to score two field goals in a bowl game. He finished his freshman year with 95 total points, breaking the record previously held by Martín Gramática for points by a freshman, and second only to legendary runningback Darren Sproles' sophmore season in points by a freshman or sophomore.
