K-State and KU players dive for a loose ball dropped by KU running back James Sims, which would be recovered by sophomore defensive back Dante Barnett, during the second quarter of the annual Sunflower Showdown Saturday in Memorial Stadium in Lawrence. The Wildcats beat the Kansas Jayhawks 31-10 in a back-and-forth game characterized by many turnovers. The Jayhawks surrendered six turnovers, while the Wildcats had two. The governor's cup, awarded to the winner of the intrastate rivalry each year, returns to K-State for the fifth year in a row.
