The contest started out as a track meet, with K-State and OU scoring back and forth, but the Sooners sealed the win with a punt return to the three-yard line, followed by an interception return for a touchdown with eleven minutes remaining.

Despite the kickoff temperature of 25 degrees Fahrenheit, the K-State family still filled Bill Snyder Family Stadium to the brim for the 13th straight sellout, some even painting their bare chests, for the Wildcats' 41-31 loss to the Sooners on senior day Saturday. With the sellout of the last home game, K-State fans set a new single-season game average and total season attendance records, at 423,095 total attendance.
