Photo by Jed Barker | The Collegian This year's Purple Apple award for Best Bar collectively goes to Kite's Bar and Grill and Rusty's Last Chance, both located in Aggieville. Kite's is best known for its hand-breaded mozzarella sticks and Rusty's for its pork ribs.

As the name suggests, the restaurant will have over 70 varieties of bourbon, as well as a bakery in the back, along with a unique menu containing southern and midwestern comfort foods.

This year, the series includes such cultural events as West Side Story, The Brian Setzer Orchestra, the Moscow Festival Ballet and Green Day's American Idiot.
