K-State Provost and Senior Vice President April Mason describes her enjoyment of "The Ghost Map," by Steven Johnson, and the interdisciplinary mystery within at the K-State Book Network's launch of the book as the university's common book for the 2014-15 school year March 11, 2014, in the K-State Student Union courtyard. The book tells the story of how one man, using groundbreaking epidemiology techniques, pinpointed the exact location of the origin of the 1854 Broad Street Cholera epidemic in London.

Rather than going along with the books and movies, Randel decided to go with a coal-to-diamond theme, sprinkling a few sparkly diamonds over her model and incorporating a grungy, yet ordered hexagonal pattern into the makeup.

Powercat PR, K-State's chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America, hosted the event to promote Pop Money, a money transfer app, for the PRSSA Bateman competition.

In a dress rehearsal last night, reporter Yvonne, played by Erika Williams, and her editor Patt, played by Angelica McKinnis, don't get along in the play "The Story" performed by the Ebony Theater in Purple Masque Theater.  The story revolves around racial issues and journalistic ethics in a newsroom. It premeirs Feb. 20 in the Purple Masque Theater.

In the last ride of the night, bull rider Matt May holds tight as his bull, Gator, sends both of them flying during the third and last round in the K-State Invitational Bull Bash, hosted by the K-State Rodeo Club, at Weber Arena February 1, 2014. Despite falling off after only two seconds, May held on to his lead in the competition to become the overall champion of the thirty riders who competed.
