On Cozy Inn's opening day, Steve Howard, owner, starts the first sliders of the day June 21. The grill was later stocked with onions, pickels, and ketchup— the only other condiments on the simple sliders.
Cozy Inn's classic sliders feature palm sized meat patties cooked with a generous heap of chopped onions, topped with a pickel and a dab of ketchup. The sliders got their name from being slid down the counter on wax paper, which is how the sliders are still served in house.
