A Langstroth frame is occupied by thousands of sister bees hastening working to filling the the hive with honey, dancing to inform other bees of great locations for nectar and taking care of young fledgling bees in one of Marney's hives on his property.
Richard Martney, a former K-Stater and Wamego resident, is a master bee keeper. He handles a bee-made cone, different from most of Martney's 40 plus hives on his property that use the Langstroth hive traditionally used by bees keeper to harvest honey. Martney handles the hive barehanded and calmly as not to disrupt the bees.
