Women bring their children to prayer services at the mosque as long as they are not an interruption. Women and children worship in a separate room than men to eliminate distractions.

Muslim women wearing traditional hijabs, or headscarves, participate in Friday prayer at the Islamic Center of Manhattan. Attending prayer is not required for women, but they are always welcome.
